The Death of a President

On Saturday May 22 Korea's ex-President Roh Moo-hyun committed suicide. I haven't seen much of the mourning but apparently there's a great deal of it going on. Roh was viewed by many as a great person though perhaps not the most effective leader. Maybe a Carter type figure.

There's also a great deal of anger towards the current president Lee Myung-bak for his involvement in the affair, his lack of tact for the most part. Lee is a dick, that's pretty obvious and he's been about as miserable failure so far as Bush at handling challenges. Ironically Bush embraced the Lee administration. Go figure.

Roh did leave a suicide note:

Bah, sadness.
